The Hub on SX (HOSX) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to accelerating sustainable practices in Western Australian businesses. We do this by providing education, fostering collaboration, advocating for supportive policies, and recognising the efforts of those leading the way. More than just office space, HOSX is a community with purpose – bringing together sustainability start-ups, entrepreneurs, and businesses that simply want to do things better.

What began as a small co-working initiative in spare office space has grown into a thriving community of innovators, professionals, and businesses who share a common goal: making a tangible, positive impact.

    As HOSX has evolved, so too has our reach. From just a few desks in the early days, we now offer a larger, dedicated space for sustainability-minded businesses of all sizes.

Meet the Team

  • Charlie Guilloteau

    DIRECTOR

    Charlie is the Founder and Director of Metis Design and Engineering Pty Ltd (MDE), Microplastix and the Founding Director of The Hub on SX (HOSX).

    A Chartered Professional Mechanical Engineer with a passion for problem solving, in 2014 Charlie founded Metis Design & Engineering to provide high quality engineering services and make new technologies and advanced simulation capabilities available to his clients. Charlies experience within companies of various sizes and in different industries as well as a genuine interest in helping other businesses succeed, allows him to tackle complex engineering problems.

    It is important to Charlie that what he does as an engineer has a meaning or impact on the community. He is always on the lookout for opportunities to contribute to environmental, recycling and community projects and is passionate about the plastic pollution issue having been involved in various projects to contribute in reducing its impact on the environment.

  • Louis Tomlin

    DIRECTOR

    Louise is the Director and Principal Consultant of Highlight Sustainability, a small owner-operated Sustainability and ESG consulting service provider.

    With over 13 years of experience in leading and facilitating sustainability initiatives, Louise is passionate about helping businesses navigate the complex and evolving landscape of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance. As the Director and Principal Consultant at Highlight Sustainability, Louise provides tailored solutions and guidance to clients across various sectors and regions, leveraging her expertise in risk management, modern slavery and emissions calculation.

    Louise has also just completed a Master of Business Administration degree at the Australian Institute of Business and is completing GARP Certification to enhance her skills in leadership, management, and strategy.

    Louise believes that sustainability is not only moral for businesses, but also a competitive advantage and a source of innovation and value creation. Her goal is to simplify the process for businesses to achieve their sustainability objectives and aspirations while also improving their performance and reputation.

    Louise is currently the volunteer Secretary for Sustainable Energy Now, and the Convenor for the Young Professionals Committee of UNAAWA.

  • Peter Minchin

    DIRECTOR

    Peter is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Purpose Driven Performance, a specialist advisory helping associations in the sport and not-for-profit association sectors unlock opportunities for commercial growth, increased membership and greater community impact.

    Over the past 20 years, Peter has helped improve the performance of sporting associations and member-based organisations across Australia and internationally.

    Peter believes that purpose driven associations need to adopt a business mindset - as sustainable organisations can make a bigger impact for their communities.

    Having worked as a consultant at Sport Australia, an Association CEO, manager of a large leisure centre and as an owner of a successful member-based business, in 2018 Peter decided to take the plunge and share his learnings through a boutique consultancy Purpose Driven Performance.

    Over the last 5 years, Peter has helped more than 50 clients develop new strategies, improve their governance and build their capability to drive revenue, grow membership and make a bigger community impact.

    Peters approach to working with leaders and teams, is to ensure there is an absolute clarity of purpose, and to then develop strategies and growth opportunities that are in alignment with this purpose and will also deliver a greater community impact.

    Peter has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Australia and also a Bachelor of Science from UWA.

    He is also a volunteer Board Member of Sportwest and Triathlon WA.

  • Nicola Devonald

    DIRECTOR & GENERAL MANAGER

    Nicola is a Director and the General Manager of The Hub on SX, with extensive experience in office management, operations, and community engagement. She is passionate about sustainability and skilled in creating impactful events and programs that drive positive social and environmental change. Nicola holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Studies from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff.
