Our Story.

Our story

HOSX was created and funded by Metis Design and Engineering, a Team of professional engineers passionate about reducing their impact on the planet and looking for innovative and practical ways to contribute to building a more sustainable world.

When they moved into their new premises, they saw an opportunity to utilise the extra space to build a community of like-minded professional around them. They set up HOSX as a Not-For-Profit organisation and started with a small sustainability co-working space with just a few desks.

HOSX co-location with the Metis DE team provides members with a unique opportunity to connect with professional engineers who are striving to ‘raise the standard’ as they deliver advanced mechanical engineering and technology solutions to their clients.

Since the early days, HOSX has grown and is more than just a co-working space. Although the space has expanded in a larger office, the HOSX members community now extends to anyone interested in working towards achieving the UN SDGs and keen to collaborate and innovate to do so.

Metis Design & Engineering have received awards from the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce and the CitySwitch program for their sustainability leadership.
